DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

At Canyon Collective we view each project as three-dimensional artwork, unique to the inhabitant.  We intentionally combine natural/organic materials encouraging sensory comfort, mixing them with playful style cues that evoke emotional responses of warmth, joy, and gratitude. We believe your space is your sanctuary, and will work with each client's unique perspective to create this personalized vision.

JILLIAN ALLSTADT

NYC native and California transplant, Jillian studied interior design at Parsons The New School. Jillian's mother and father were both artists in NYC inspiring and encouraging the arts from a very young age.  She moved to California as a young adult and was influenced by the landscape, bohemian lifestyle, surf and yoga culture.  Her speciality is understanding how to manipulate spaces so that they best serve the clients needs.

Jillian founded Gale Design Studio in 2017. Her studio's focus has been intentional living- an organic modern approach to design. In 2021 Jillian wanted to expand the studio goals to offer a broader range of services providing a collective of talented creatives to work together in curating: CANYON COLLECTIVE STUDIO. Her office is nestled in Mission Canyon, Santa Barbara.

JOHN KIMBLE

Based in Santa Barbara, California, Pristine Finishes is owned and operated by John Kimble. He adheres to impeccably high standards and principles often lost in today’s high-paced construction and remodeling markets.

John began painting and decorating in 1997 as an apprentice to an English master painter in Portland, Oregon. John in 2004 apprenticed as a faux finisher with Guerin Swing and the internationally renowned, Guerin Design and Development. Working with elite Los Angeles designers, contractors, architects, and a “who’s who” of A-list clientele, John immersed himself in high-end decorative and faux finishes found at prestigious hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, and estates. After 10 years with Guerin Design, John relocated to Santa Barbara where he lives with his two children.

From straight paint to multi-layered marbling, from faux bois to liquid-plasma walls, and from concrete overlays to ornate gilded stencils and more. Let John bring your vision to life and exceed your expectations.
